Marshall Thomas
Marshall Thomas didn’t intentionally become a dj. But he married one. If you can’t beat 'em, join ‘em, I guess. But after countless gigs with your spouse, developing a discerning ear for the smallest mistakes, helping with gear, picking out music, before you know it, you’re sneaking off while everyone is asleep, practicing beat matching and phrasing. All it took was his hubby taking a bathroom break to get a chance to hold down the decks and show he had what it takes. Suddenly there are bookings and gigs instead of being strictly behind the scenes. Marshalls knack for sniffing out good, obscure disco records and his attention to detail not only landed him a seat at the table(s,) but landed him a steady gig in Atlantic City and has inspired him and his husband, Cameron Kelly to start a feel-good, ego free, body positive, all vinyl disco party called the Fishbowl Project. He is driven by the love of the music, and the message of love so richly carved into those 70's grooves. The vibe he demonstrates brings the right people together and creates a space that is inclusive and funky. Keep your eye on this one. He’s got a fresh perspective about timeless music. That’s a delightfully dangerous and exciting combination.
