Fontanelle is the ongoing independent production and performance project formed by Alex Fresa in 2014. The project often features open format mixing using a blend of eclectic melodies and motifs accompanied by a series of gritty battle rhythms. Often experimental in nature, their productions and soundscapes greatly focus on genre tropes, juxtaposition, and emotional catharsis through an ever-changing admixture of elements. They attempt to create sonic experiences that feel familiar, yet are dissected and reinterpreted to such a degree that they resemble little of what they once were. Through tools of pattern and human error, Fontanelle embraces the decks to explore the collective conscience and challenge audiences to experience sound in new ways that are constructed and shared right before them.
