Cameron Kelly
Cameron Kelly is a New Orleans-born, Philadelphia-based DJ whose sound is as deep and layered as the city that shaped him. An audiophile since the age of four — when a gifted phonograph drew him to his mother's Disco 45s, his father's 60s/70s rock, and the Cajun melodies drifting up from his grandparents' Louisiana bayou — Cameron has spent more than three decades forging one of the most authentic and wide-ranging musical identities in the underground. His sets refuse easy categorisation. Rooted in the theology of House Music, they move through Disco, Funk, Soul, Jazz, and Acid, arriving — without warning — at a Techno problem he has no desire to solve. That journey has taken him from the dance floors of his hometown to festival stages, legendary clubs, and rooms that matter. In New Orleans, Cameron built his name through years of work with Kinetic Productions and Anti-Pop, co-founding cameronkthedj.com · @camalama Kompression — a landmark collaboration between the two collectives — and spearheading community initiatives House Music Heals and the NOLA Housing Project — bringing the culture back to the people who need it most. On the festival circuit, he has rocked BUKU Music + Art Project alongside some of the biggest names in electronic music. His reach extends coast to coast. In San Francisco, Cameron has headlined The End Up — one of America's most storied after-hours institutions — and brought his sound to Housepitality, one of the Bay Area's premier underground showcases. From New York's Jupiter Disco to Las Vegas and Atlanta, he has held down rooms across the country while never losing the soulful thread that connects every set back to New Orleans. He now calls Philadelphia — birthplace of Disco — home. Off the decks, Cameron teaches culinary arts, crate-digs with his husband — with whom he also performs as the DJ duo Oso Discos — and serves as A&R; and Marketing lead for Simplistic Music Company (Dallas). Whether through music or food, his mission is the same: feed your soul.
